Course Structure

Nourish & Nurture Midwifery provides current, evidence-based childbirth education to help you feel informed, empowered, and supported every step of the way. Led by Ally Wallace a Registered Midwife working in a tertiary maternity hospital, we offer 2 classes, Birth preparation and Postnatal and Breastfeeding Fundamentals. Each class has been designed to allow you to absorb the information, ask questions, and build confidence for birth and parenthood.

​Birth Preparation

What you'll Learn

  • Exploring the role of the mind-body connection in labour and birth

  • How hormones, mindset, and environment influence birth

  • Stages of labour - learn how you body and baby work together in labour

  • Pain relief options (non-pharmacological + pharmacological) and how to choose what’s right for you

  • Comfort measures, movement, positioning, breathing, and hands-on support techniques

  • How your partner can confidently support you through labour and birth

  • What happens during interventions (induction, CTG monitoring, assisted birth, caesarean)

  • Understanding birth preferences and communicating with your care team

  • The fourth stage of labour, golden hour, skin-to-skin, and early newborn feeding support

  • Practical tips for feeling calm, informed, and empowered for your birth and postpartum journey

Postnatal & Breastfeeding

What you'll Learn

  • Breastfeeding fundamentals

  • Establishing your milk supply 

  • What to expect with newborn behavior 

  • Preparing for postpartum recovery and the emotional transition into parenthood

  • Practical tips for feeling calm, informed, and empowered for your postpartum journey

  • Duration: 2 Hours

Our private 1:1 classes offer all of the above education in the comfort of a private and intimate environment.
